We aim to honestly represent our horses with the goal of finding the perfect partner that will love them. Here's the honest parts you won't usually see in a horse ad -
- NOT A BEGINNER HORSE. She may seem beginner safe most days, but she occasionally has a spicy day that needs a confident rider. Nothing too difficult but not suitable for a beginner or fearful rider.
- Maia is a mare - she is not mareish or snarky when in heat, but she does have opinions. She is very pleasant and agreeable for the most part, but she does like to feel that her person is her partner, not a dictator. She does not always need to get what she wants, but she does want to feel that her opinion is heard and considered. If she feels she is being treated unfairly, she may stop, shake her head, or stomp a foot. She does not buck, rear, bolt, or anything dangerous. Just a small display of attitude occasionally. This is avoidable by establishing a good relationship with her first. If you just want a push button robot horse and do not want to invest time in a partnership, she may not be the one for you.
- She may occasionally act agitated when trail riding with a horse she doesn't like. She doesn't kick or act dangerous but can be a more forward ride with a little sass. This is not often but does happen occasionally. It is not hard to manage but might intimidate timid riders. I will work on fully resolving this once her colt is weaned if she is still here.
- Why is she for sale? Maia is a lovely mare, has produced beautiful foals and is a great trail horse, so it has been a hard decision. Unfortunately, we are limited how many horses we can own and want to pursue different breeding goals. Maia has a lot to offer and we know she is highly desired by many and will find a great home.
