Foals

We take pride in producing foals with top notch care in every way –
Premium nutrition from conception, optimal hoof care from the start, conscientious handling for future soundness of both mind and body, species appropriate management with plenty of various experiences for optimal physical and mental development, excellent medical care including vaccine and deworming protocol as recommended by AAEP. We believe the details matter and we strive to set our foals up for success!

Our foals are handled daily, but we let them be a horse and have as much turnout as possible right from the start. They are used to coming into stalls for meals, but we don't keep them in for extended times unless medically necessary or if bad weather when very young. They grow up in herds on varied terrain where they learn to socialize and develop strong hooves, bodies, and minds. Foals have the opportunity to explore our obstacle course and observe older horses being trained. Young horses may be ponied on short trail rides.  

Prior to leaving, our foals know basic handling skills -

leading, good manners for vet and farrier, trailer loading, basic obstacles, intro to soft tying
(we do not hard tie babies, to protect their fragile necks)
